I love photographing weddings and capturing the raw emotions of the day. I not only shoot in the D.C. area but love a good destination wedding. I hope my journal inspires you.
There is nothing better than an outdoor wedding at Rust Manor House located in Leesburg, VA. Rust Manor House offers great options for both indoor and outdoor weddings. The grounds are immaculately taken care of, with an English garden feel. The staff is very friendly and eager to help or carry an umbrella to keep you dry during a rain storm.
There are also plenty of things to do in the nearby area when traveling in for an outdoor wedding at Rust Manor in Leesburg, VA.
It was early 2016 when Kristen and Brian’s love story first began. Just 2 single twenty-somethings who happened to swipe right on Bumble.
He was on a one-month clinical rotation in Winchester, VA, and she had just started her new career in the same small town. After conversing for weeks, the two decided to meet up for dinner and drinks.
However, on the day of the planned date, Kristen got cold feet and cancelled. They talked for another week or so before falling out of touch.
It was the spring of 2017 when Kristen and Brian’s connection gained new traction. She, now a thirty-something, and he still a twenty-something, happened to once again swipe right on Bumble. For the first time since initially matching, they were located in the same radius.
On that particular night, she happened to be out in D.C., and he was living only 15 miles away in Falls Church, VA. They exchanged numbers for the second time, only to both realize they still had each other’s numbers stored in their phones!
Brian chose the Wine Kitchen in Leesburg for their first date. He already knew she liked wine and Leesburg was directly in between Frederick and Falls Church. Kristen did not cancel this time. The conversation flowed as easily as the wine did, and they both realized it had been well worth the wait!
As I arrived to Kristen’s suite to assess the room I instantly noticedKristen. She had already gone through hair and makeup and had a 1960’s movie star quality about her. Her bridesmaids were all in matching robes were full of energy and ready to get their girl married.
Then it was Brian’s turn and he complimented Kristen with a handsome and GQ quality of his own.
They had a beautiful outdoor wedding at Rust Manor House that had a very English feel to it. Looking back as Kristen and her father walk down the aisle you see the manor as the backdrop. Then looking forward to the alter you have manicured evergreen 15 feet high and waist high hedges with a fountain in the background.
The reception was also outside but in a climate control tent. Which was perfect because as the band started so did the rain. It rained all night but you would never know it. The dance floor was full all night and when the band announced the last song the guests cried out for more. Kristen and Brian complemented each other in so many ways that I have no doubt they will have a very full life together.
I only take on a limited number of weddings each year, in order to give my clients an unforgettable experience. I would love to chat with you about your wedding and get to know you both. Listed below are a few more articles that can help in your planning.
