I love photographing weddings and capturing the raw emotions of the day. I not only shoot in the D.C. area but love a good destination wedding. I hope my journal inspires you.
…Now That’s an Epic Day!
As I look back on this amazing Maryland wedding ceremony at Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Church and incredible wedding reception that followed at Belmont Manor & Historic Park the first thing that comes to mind is the bride, Katie’s, unmistakable laughter. Whether it was with her bridesmaids, family or her new husband Rob….Katie kept everyone in great spirits.
For me as a Maryland wedding photographer in a time of when everyone wants to be married in a barn, winery, country club ect… I love when I get to photograph a wedding ceremony in a church. There is something very different about a church wedding and Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Church delivered. The beauty and serenity of this church is so relaxing from the stain glass windows, the warmth of the wood slat ceiling to the suspended figure of Jesus. The service was moving and beautiful and once again Katie’s laughter would take center stage and fill the church with unbridled love.
After the service was over and all the family photos were taken, we packed up for a short ride to Belmont Manor & Historic Park in Elkridge, Maryland and this is when the laughter of Katie grew even more.
The fall colors on the rolling hills and reflecting pools of the manor were suited for an epic wedding. The hazy and pastel colors of the trees and the golden light cascading on Katie & Rob were no match for the long and loving gazes that they both had as I was shooting with them. At times it seemed to me that they were actually unaware I was with them.
As we moved throughout the night the fun just kept ramping up and the fun was relentless and did I forget to mention they had the incredible sounds of the “Bachelor Boys Band”.
As the night came to an end and the last song and dance started I looked around and everyone was gassed and looked as if they were finishing a 3 day music fest but instantly rallied in love to support Katie & Rob.
